You do not need to understand every medical and dental step before contacting us. Tell us what you already know, and we will guide you toward the appropriate next action.
I already have a sleep study
Contact us and tell us when and where the study was completed. Our team can explain which records, treatment recommendation, and referral or prescription documentation may be needed before an oral appliance consultation.
I have a referral or prescription
Bring the referral, sleep-study report, and any relevant medical records. We will review the information, investigate applicable medical benefits, and arrange the dental evaluation when appropriate.
CPAP has been difficult
Tell us what has made PAP hard to use and what you have already tried. CPAP is highly effective when used consistently; a custom oral appliance may be a reasonable alternative for an appropriate adult after medical discussion.
I have never been tested
You can reach out now. A qualified medical provider determines whether a sleep evaluation is appropriate, establishes an OSA diagnosis, and directs the medical plan. We can help you understand the pathway and connect with the appropriate clinician.
What happens after contact
Our team clarifies your situation, explains records and benefits steps, then helps coordinate a consultation. If an appliance is appropriate, Dr. Dawson evaluates your oral health and jaw, selects a custom device, adjusts it, and coordinates efficacy follow-up with your medical provider.

The detailed path from diagnosis to long-term care
1. Diagnosis and sleep study
Have a study? Bring it. Need testing? We can help you find the appropriate medical pathway.
2. Benefits and records
We gather relevant records and investigate medical benefits and documentation needs.
3. Dental consultation
Dr. Dawson assesses your oral health, bite, jaw joints, and suitability for an appliance.
4. Digital scan and selection
If appropriate, a custom titratable appliance is selected for your needs.
5. Delivery
We check fit and teach use, cleaning, and morning bite care.
6. Titration and follow-up
We adjust gradually and monitor comfort, symptoms, and side effects.
7. Verify the response
Your medical team coordinates an appropriate efficacy assessment; feeling better alone is not proof of adequate control.
8. Long-term care
We check the appliance, teeth, bite, jaw joints, and symptoms over time.
